Finalist in the most important singing contest in Italy, Aba, real name Chiara Gallana, got noticed on the italian Xfactor 2013 for her warm and powerful voice and a strong stage presence.
Following the lead of her judge Elio, Aba went through a difficult path during the seventh season of the programme, getting to finally convince to audience and making it to the finals, singing Burt Bacharach’s “Close to you” with the soul star Mario Biondi at the prestigious Mediolanum Forum in Milan, in front of 15 thousand people in the audience and millions tv viewers.
Twenty-nine years old, coming from Padova (Italy), Aba took singing and piano lessons since she was 14 and combined musical studies with a Marketing and Business degree.
After singing on several stages and performed in different local contests during her first years in the musical industry, she then enters the Summertime Choir (italian most famous gospel choir), which completes her stage training and gives her the possibility to reach Europe’s most prestigious stages and venues.
On the notes of her forte, “I put a spell on you” by Nina Simone in a special blues version, she manages to enter the pool of contestants of XFactor 2013.
Her love for afro-american music is not a mistery, her living myth is Beyonce and the musical world Aba favours is blues, soul, jazz and gospel sound.

Right after the XFactor finale, she starred in italian TV serial “Un posto al Sole”, performing as herself singing her song during the episode, and sang with the famous group Elio e Le Storie Tese on national italian television (RaiDue, “Il Musichione”).
She also hosted “La canzone di noi” tv show, judging competing choirs along italian TV stars Claudio Lippo and Jose Maria Sciutto.
She’s been singing as season guest in the episodes of 2014 fall/winter season of “Domenica In” on national tv RaiUno.
During spring season 2015 she’s been singing with Maurizio Crozza on satyrical show “Crozza nel paese delle meraviglie” broadcasted on La7 television.

Thanks to her music and various collaborations with international artists, Aba performed on italian most important stages such as Mediolanum Forum, Blue Note in club in Milan, Bravo Cafè in Bologna, Q club in Padova, Politeama theatre in Genova, Auditorium Parco della musica in Roma, and much more, also performing as headliner for the European Juvenile Games in Bratislava (Slovakia) and the #1 world resort The Mulia in Bali (Indonesia).
She had the chance to sing with superstars Mario Biondi, Elio e le Storie Tese, Jermaine Paul, Cece Rogers, Giorgia, Luca Tommassini, Zibba and many more.

On December 13th, 2013, her first album and single are published (“Indifesa”), along with her first video that has now reached 150.000 views on youtube.
She is now producing her new all-originals album, planned for release for next autumn.

On June 17th, 2016, her brand new single was published (“Get me high”), as an anticipation to her first original album, with an excellent result in media and charts (12* in general charts, 1* in Rnb charts).

On July 14th, 2017, her original album was finally published: “Oxygen”, 13 tracks surfing among soul, blues and rock, through which you can taste all of her vocal extension and power and her versatile style as a performer.
