Alexia (born Alessia Aquilani) is one of the most famous Italian singers abroad.Since her debut she has sold more than 5 million records worldwide; and has received 8 gold records and 2 platinum records. Her first single, “Me and You”, that came out in 1995 was number 1 in Italy and Spain. A year later “Summer is crazy”, “Number One” and “Uh la la la” were released: number-one hits all over Europe.
Her first album, “Fan Club,” came out in 1997 and sold over 600,000 copies, followed a year later by her second album, “The Party,” which also earned Platinum status with over 500,000 copies sold, achieving success in England, the United States, and Japan.
In 1999, she released “Happy,” which immediately entered the charts across Europe.
In 2002, she experienced a turning point and renewed success by singing in Italian. Alexia made her debut at the Sanremo Music Festival, achieving a true triumph. “Dimmi Come” became the most played song on Italian radio, and a year later, she won the same festival with “Per Dire di No”.
Alexia returned to the Sanremo Music Festival in 2005 and 2009, subsequently releasing various singles and albums such as “Stars, “Io No”, “iCanzonissime”, and “Tu Puoi Se Vuoi” aimed at the Italian market.
In July 2016, she released a remix of “Uh La La La”, created in collaboration with DJs Albertino, Fargetta, Molella, and Prezioso from Deejaytime, where she had been a guest at various events at the Forum di Assago and the Ippodromo Le Capannelle in Rome.
In 2022, she released the album “My Xmas” featuring 10 Christmas songs in English, reinterpreted as part of an original and ambitious project, followed in 2023 by a vinyl reissue and two theater tours, culminating on the prestigious stage of the Blue Note in Milan.
In the summer of 2024, her encounter with Australian DJs Nervo led Alexia to perform as the first Italian woman on the main stage at Tomorrowland, the most famous electronic music festival in the world.
Alexia returns to singing dance music in English with her latest single “I Feel Feelings”, written by the Canadian band Dragonette and produced by Carl Ryden and Paul Harris.
